The “Ordinary Extraordinary Encounters” project at “Prie dvaro” invites you to join us once again!
From July 3–6, Taujėnai will become a place where history, culture, theater, music, and community come together. The project “Simply Extraordinary Encounters at the Manor” invites you to spend four days in a special atmosphere, full of unexpected discoveries and memorable encounters.
The program of events includes literary and musical evenings, theatrical tours of Taujėnai as dusk falls, performances from the international theater festival “Prie dvaro,” a circus performing in the project for the first time, a historical march along the paths of the Garbėnai partisans, creative workshops, concerts, and a celebration of Statehood Day.
Audiences can look forward to heartfelt evenings of poetry and sung poetry, comical and intriguing theater stories from Lithuania and Latvia, spectacular circus performances for the whole family, and on July 6—a meaningful hike along the trails of partisan memory and the play “Forest Sisters,” which tells the story of the brave Lithuanian women during the years of the resistance struggle.
The evening of National Day will culminate with the singing of the Lithuanian national anthem, creative activities for the whole family, and the project’s biggest highlight—the premiere by the Taujėnai amateur theater group “Bičiuliai.” Kept under wraps until the very last moment, the performance will be an unexpected gift for the audience and a highlight of this year’s events.
We invite everyone —young and old, locals and visitors alike—to experience the extraordinary encounters that await at Taujėnai Manor, in the town, and throughout the surrounding area. Here, every day brings new stories, emotions, and experiences.
The project is funded by: the Lithuanian Council for Culture and the Ukmergė District Municipality
The event is free
