“My parents never talked about their love for each other. But it was from them that I inherited the understanding that family is the greatest value,” says songwriter and performer Kazimieras Jakutis-Pagulbis.
From autumn until the end of the year, K. Jakutis will traditionally face the audience: a concert tour, a new album, a new story, which he invites us to experience together.
“It is always important for me to talk to people, and that’s why there are a lot of small conversations in the concerts, between songs, too. There will be a lot of them this time too, because I have written a story for each song. By the way, they, as well as my reflections, will be available on the vinyl. This is my first album on vinyl – I wanted it to be special. I notice that everything old is making a comeback: more and more people are listening to music on their turntables.
I would like the audience to take away an emotion from the concerts – that’s the most important thing for me. I want the words, the melody, even the look to stay with them longer than the song itself.
I will not be alone on stage: I will be accompanied by excellent musicians – backing vocalist Vaida Jakutienė, Gediminas Legas (rhythm) and Aurimas Driukas (guitar, keyboards).
The concert tour will traditionally start in October in the village of Pagulbio, the place where I experienced so many firsts, and will end on the second day of Christmas in Anykščiai. It is important for me to keep the continuity, the traditions. These are also the values I live by,” he invites.
